Privacy Policy.
Effective August 3, 2026. This explains what data ReportGenie collects, why, and how you stay in control of it.
1. Introduction
ReportGenie ("we," "us," "our") is an AI-powered SEO and marketing reporting tool, available at app.websgrow.com/reportgenie, owned and operated by Abdul Hadi, of 527 H Block Sabzazar Scheme, Lahore, Pakistan. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use ReportGenie.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in a few ways:
- Account information — name, email address, and password (stored encrypted, never in plain text) when you sign up.
- Usage data — how you use the Service, such as reports generated, tool activity, and log data (IP address, browser type, timestamps) used for security and reliability.
- Billing data — when you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Paddle (our merchant of record). We receive limited transaction information (such as plan purchased and subscription status) from Paddle — we do not receive or store your full card details, which Paddle handles directly. See Paddle's Privacy Policy for how they handle payment data.
- Content you provide — business names, logos, client details, and other content you enter to build reports or configure a tool.
- Connected third-party data — see the next section.
3. Google user data
Where you choose to connect Google Search Console, Google Analytics, or Google Business Profile (for example, inside ReportGenie), we access only the data needed to build the reports and features you request — such as search performance, traffic, and business profile metrics for the properties you explicitly connect. This access is granted by you via Google's own OAuth consent screen, and you can revoke it at any time from your dashboard or directly from your Google Account's third-party access settings.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements: we use Google user data only to provide or improve the specific features you've requested (e.g. generating your reports), we do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it to third parties.
4. How we use your information
We use the information above to: provide and maintain the Service; generate the reports, audits, and content you request; process billing (via Paddle) and send related receipts/notifications; provide customer support; detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues; and improve the Service over time.
5. How we share information
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only where necessary to run the Service:
- Paddle — to process payments and subscriptions as our merchant of record;
- Google APIs — to retrieve the connected data you've explicitly authorized (Search Console, Analytics, Business Profile);
- Infrastructure & email providers — hosting and transactional email delivery, acting only on our instructions; and
- Legal & safety — where required to comply with the law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Abdul Hadi, our users, or others.
6. Data retention
We retain account and usage data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time — see Section 9.
For ReportGenie specifically, generated client reports are kept for 1 year by default under each client's retention setting — configurable per client to 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, or indefinitely — after which older reports for that client are automatically pruned. Manually downloaded copies (PDFs, exports) are of course outside our control once saved to your own device.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences (such as light/dark theme). We don't use third-party advertising trackers.
8. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted password storage and encryption of sensitive stored credentials (such as connected API keys). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data appropriately for its sensitivity.
9. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you're located, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent for connected integrations at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@websgrow.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
10. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
11. International users
We may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where we do, we take steps to ensure your information continues to receive an appropriate level of protection.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new effective date, and for material changes, we'll take reasonable steps to notify account holders.
